Primary Teaching for Mastery Work Group

‘Children’s chances of success are maximised if they develop deep and lasting understanding of mathematical procedures and concepts.’ - NCETM

A CPD journey which enables schools to continue developing the vital skills and practices to build a sustainable and coherent approach to the teaching of mathematics through a teaching for mastery approach. The Mastery approach encourages learning through carefully sequenced small steps that build on prior learning, ensuring that every child can learn and enjoy maths.
