A professional learning community for KS5 Heads of Maths and other Level 3 leaders. The programme brings together leaders to explore leadership development, national updates, professional networking, and support from Maths Hubs and the AMSP. It offers insights from education and industry, creating space for professional learning, strategic thinking, and sustainable departmental development.
What Will You Learn?
You will explore vision, culture, and principles for teaching and learning in maths, and consider structures that support collaboration, shared responsibility, and pedagogy.
The programme also develops leaders’ ability to identify priorities, lead change, understand the local and national Level 3 maths education landscape, and build sustainable professional development within departments.
Participants will also work collaboratively with peers to strengthen professional relationships and an ongoing learning culture.
What is involved?
The programme includes an initial 60-minute session on Thursday 25th June 2026 (provisional), followed by termly 90-minute sessions from 2026/27.
Sessions will include leadership development, national updates, professional networking, and support from the Maths Hub and AMSP.
Participants will hear a range of voices from education and industry and take part in collaborative discussion focused on strategic leadership and practice development.
Who can take part?
This community is designed for existing Level 3 subject leaders, including Heads of Maths, Deputy Heads of Department, KS5 leaders, and other Level 3 leaders who can represent their institution or department.
It is ideal for those looking to strengthen strategic leadership, support departmental development, and engage in collaborative professional learning with peers.
