Securing Foundations at Year 7 Work Group

This opportunity aims to provide professional development and resources for secondary maths teachers, so they are better equipped to support students with gaps in understanding from previous Key Stages. Teachers will develop their understanding of KS1 and KS2 maths curriculum domain-specific knowledge and pedagogical content knowledge to better enable these students to access the KS3 curriculum.

This Work Group is intended for all schools that have participated in Development, Embedding or Sustaining Work Groups at some stage. All schools in this Work Group will continue to work alongside other schools to embed and refine teaching for mastery approaches in their school to benefit all students
